Two Fan-Favourite (Unofficial) Dark Souls Books Are About To Be Far More Affordable

Dark Souls has been around for well over a decade at this point, and in all that time it has garnered quite a large fanbase. Part of that fanbase has dedicated countless hours to exploring and understanding every inch of Lordran and its associated lore. There have been a few books that were immediately loved by the fanbase, with two great examples of this being Abyssal Archive: The Mythology of Dark Souls and You Died: The Dark Souls Companion.

It has just been announced that Tune & Fairweather, the Irish publisher behind those two Dark Souls books, was opening pre-orders for the premium soft-cover versions of both Abyssal Archive and You Died. The prices of these books are far easier to stomach than the prices of their hard-cover coutnerparts.

Abyssal Archive: The Mythology of Dark Souls is described as a comprehensive fan analysis of Dark Souls‘ mythos ever undertaken, and You Died: The Dark Souls Companion is described as a love letter to FromSoftware’s 2011 RPG which started a craze. The former is a collaborative work with Lokey Dark Souls, and the latter makes use of various interviews with game director Hidetaka Miyzaki on top of original analysis of the game and its world.

Abyssal Archive is priced at 30/US$33 compared to the original hardcover set that sits at 180/US$200.

You Died is priced at 25/US$27 which is a huge difference between the original hardcover edition which comes in at 130/US$145 at its most expensive which features a genuine-leather cover or 60/US$67 in a black or white cloth cover.

Pre-orders for both books’ softcover variants can be found below:
