John Cena Joins The Mortal Kombat 1 Roster As Peacemaker

Mortal Kombat 1 was released last year to rave reviews, garnering a Metacritic score of 83, and NetherRealm Studios has done a solid job at supporting the game post-launch. One such example is the new release of Peacekeeper for MK1.

Played by John Cena himself, Peacekeeper takes a break from the DC Universe to fight against the likes of Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Sonya Blade. The character was previously exclusive to Kombat Pack owners but is about to be made available outside of this early access period starting tomorrow.

Peacemaker joins a sizeable list of post-launch guest characters that are included as a part of the Kombat Pack. The list of guest characters includes Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, and Takeda Takashi, with the first three of the list already available. Additionally, there will be five Kameo Fighters included. The unreleased characters and Kameo Fighters are yet to have a release date.

To make things more tempting as well, there will be a free trial weekend this weekend, from March 8-11, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. For Xbox users, an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass is required to access this free trial weekend.
