Return To Kalos With Pokémon Legends: Z-A

The Pokémon franchise has been under heavy criticism for quite a while due to the games feeling like they lack care and polish, especially since the series transitioned from the 3DS to the Nintendo Switch. Regardless, one Pokémon game that people seemed to enjoy, despite its clear technical concessions, is Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The game had a pretty dramatic shift in design and direction compared to its mainline counterparts which came as a breath of fresh air.

Making another entry into the Pokémon Legends series, The Pokémon Company announced this morning that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be making its way into the hands of consumers in 2025. Changing destinations from Hisui (a historic version of Sinnoh) to Kalos, Pokémon Legends: Z-A appears to be set entirely within Kalos’ Lumiose City.

There is still no additional news regarding the release of this game. However, with the Switch 2 rumours suggesting Nintendo’s successor to the hybrid console will launch in 2025, it’s possible that this game might see a cross-generational release.
