Crema Games has announced this morning that there will be a new Temtem game in the form of Temtem: Swarm. Rather than a sequel or an expansion on the original game, however, Temtem: Swarm would be a spin-off title that is in an entirely different genre. Taking a departure from the creature catcher genre, Crema Games has teamed up with GGTech Studios to create a bullet-heaven game that combines the nuances of Temtem’s combat with the gameplay of classic survivor games.
Temtem: Swarm also shifts its focus to 3-player cooperative play, with subsystems made in mind to allow for things like sharing (or stealing) resources, synergising with your teammates and working together to pull off effective manoeuvres against opposing combatants. There are other cool systems too, like the proposed Ghost Mode, which allows a defeated player to still assist their teammates. Currently, the game is only set to be released for PC via Steam, as well as Steam Deck compatibility, and it can be wishlisted on Steam, with a release window of Q3 2024.
